ALL ARE WELCOME

Sunday Service – 11am

readers 400We are a warm, friendly Christian Science church that embraces everyone! You are welcome to our services and we promise not to pressure or try to convert you. We have a Sunday School for young people up to the age of 20 and a crèche for very young children. Our church is run by its members for the benefit of the community and the world. Our Sunday Service at 11am is very simple in format, easy to follow and inclusive.

We do not have ministers or priests. Our services are centred on the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. The services are conducted by two readers who are elected from our church membership and read a weekly Bible lesson. Music plays a large part in our service with three hymns and a solo.

On the last Sunday of each month we have an informal gathering after the church service with tea and cake this is a time to share ideas, experiences and just enjoy each others company.

Wednesday Evening Meetings – 7.45pm

We hold a more informal meeting each Wednesday evening at 7.45pm to which you will be very welcome. It usually lasts about an hour and includes an opportunity for members of the congregation to share their healings and inspiration (don’t worry you are not under any pressure to speak).

The meeting starts with a hymn, is followed by readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook read by the Reader, a short period of silent prayer and the Lord’s Prayer, another hymn and then, a period for testimonies from anyone who wishes to speak. The meeting closes with a hymn.

Forum Meetings

Christian Science is here to meet human needs through prayer and the world needs our prayers. On the first Saturday of each month we have a forum meeting in our Reading Room. We take a topical world issue and share prayerful thoughts and healing insights with a Christian Science perspective. What ever your back ground or religion you are most welcome to join us.
